Eine Vertonung des kurzen Textes über Queen Elisabeth II (s.u.). Queen Elisabeth is now the longest ruling monarch in the history of Britain. And guess what?! She was not even meant to be a Queen! The story goes like this: There once was a man, called Edward and it was his turn to become King. BUT he was in love with a woman, called Wallis. Wallis was very pretty, however she was getting divorced for the 2nd time!! The Church of England and a lot of people were shocked, because divorces were not okay back then. So Edward had to decide. He can be King or he can marry the woman he loves. For the first time in British history a King left his throne to marry a woman he loves! Edward had a younger brother, named Albert. Now Albert, or 'George the 6th' was King. George the 6th did not have any sons. He only had two daughters. So when he died in 1952, that is how Elisabeth became the Queen.
